Favourite Products of 2018 – Skincare.

Hey there! so i really wanted to do a post on my favourite products from 2018, i was just going to do makeup but then i thought i had loved skincare so much i didn’t really wanna do that,so ive split it off into two! in a few days you will get my post about my favourite makeup from this year, but this one is all about my favourite skincare. Its gonna be a long post, so lets get too it!

1st cleanse – The body shop scumptuous camomile cleansing butter.

This was a toss up for me because i have gone between 3 the whole year, but i think this cleansing butter wins for me. Its not greasy and it removes easily but it works so well, removing makeup or not!,I adore this cleansing balm, and i dont think that will change any time soon!

2nd cleanse/morning cleanse – Soap & glory peaches & clean deep cleansing milk.

This was extremely easy for me, i had a few years ago used and loved it but had moved on to different things. Im so glad i went back to it this year as i do not plan to have it leave my life again! its not drying, but it has a bit of a zing to it, its perfect for me.

Scrub – Loreal paris smooth sugar glow grape face and lip scrub. (Not shown).

I am so sad that i dont currently have this but im waiting to see it on offer! these came out this year, and ive tried the kiwi and grapefruit one and the grapefruit one is the best by far. I always thought that sugar scrubs would be too much for my face but actually they work really well and i loved how smooth this made my skin feel.

Face mask – Garnier pure active gel matcha detox green tea face mask.

This really has been the year of the face mask for me, i really like using them! i found this garnier face mask early on in the year and im really glad i did. Its clay based, but very cooling and not drying at all, its a really nice refreshing clay mask that makes your skin feel smooth and clean.

Acid – Revolution lactic acid & hyaluronic acid serum.

This was a tough choice to be honest, because i didn’t use much acid this year! ive only just started using acid again in its traditional toner form over the past few weeks. But i then remembered that i used this serum til it is basically empty and it is acid! i really like how gentle this is, my skin this has gotten slightly drier and more sensitive this year (im growing up, eek!) and even though this is helping at resurfacing, its also hydrating and that helps a lot.

hydrating spray – B. hydrated hyaluronic acid spritz.

This was the year that i got very into hydrating sprays and this was the spray that started it! over the summer and the awful heatwave, i would cleanse, spray a lot of this then use a light gel and call it a day and this was enough hydration! i really enjoy this, its not needed of course, but its a really nice extra level of hydration.

Serum – Hyaluronic acid.

So im kinda cheating here because i haven’t got a brand for this has ive used a few over the year, but my no1 serum “thing” for sure has been hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid has found its mainstream fame this year, and theres good reason why. I found it a really nice, easy serum adding light hydration that really felt like it worked, i need to get some more, soon!

Oil – Revolution skin nourishing CBD oil.

Revolution brought out there own skincare range this year, and of course i was all over it! CBD oil hit the headlines a lot this year but i haven’t really seen it much in skincare, though i dont know why! this is really lovely, super hydrating and gentle, a staple for my night time skincare.

Day cream – loreal paris hydra genius aloe moisturiser.

I have really struggled finding a day cream that i like this year much at all, but the one i enjoyed the most was for sure the loreal pure genius, gel textures are for sure the way to go and i think i may pick up some more of this soon!

Night cream – Soap & glory speed plump overnight moisture mousse.

Again just like the peaches & clean this is something ive loved and used in the past but had wondered off to other things. I am so glad i got back to it! its a lovely, quite rich but not heavy moose.

So there you have it! my favourite skincare of 2018, what was some of yours? let me know!

My Autumn/Winter skincare changes.

Hey there! so, it wasnt until this year really that i have had to rethink my skincare for the seasons, until then i was basically fine treating my combo skin as i always did regardless of season. But, as i get older (inwardly shivers) i have noticed that during the summer my skin is oilier and in the winter its dare i say it slightly on the dry side.

So with that in mind theres some changes ive been making now that the weather is getting colder!

Of course, we always start skincare with cleansing and my go to first cleanse has been the No7 nourishing cleanser £13.00 but if im being honest i was using this way before the weather got cold! i am going through this pot like theres no tomorrow, i really like it i feel like its one of those staple cleansers that everyone needs in there cupboard! there has been some nights when i showered later in the day etc when ive just done a shock horror single cleanse! with this, and theres no greasy residue or anything like that.

my second cleanse tends to be the cleanser that changes the most with the season, in the summer i tend to go for something that is more either clay based or gel like, but now with the weather getting colder soap & glory peaches and clean cream cleanser £8.00 has been my go to for mornings and second cleanses. Its a cream cleanser so it has that hydrating factor to it but because it contains fruit acids it still has that little bit of a kick to it that my skin tends to need.

Serums and oils tend to move around and change a lot for me on a day to day basis anyway! however in the winter i tend to lean towards oil in the evening a lot more, my favourite has been for a while now has been the revolution skin nourishing CBD oil £10.00. Its just a really good basic nourishing oil that adds that extra level of hydration that my skins really needed lately.

My nighttime cream has been fine, but my daytime one wasn’t cutting it so ive been using the neals yard deliciously ella rose, lime and cucumber moisturiser £25.00. i got this a while ago in a bundle that i bought, and i used it on and off as a nighttime moisturiser especially during the summer, but when i found i needed something more i grabbed this and works wonderfully! its just a really nice, basic moisturiser that does exactly what i want, hydrates and protects.

I dont use an eye cream normally due to having stupidly sensitive eyes, but my under eyes over the past few months had felt like they were lacking something and so when i got a little mini of the Anatomicals no old bags allowed £5.50 i thought i would give it a go every now and then and im glad i have. Sometimes my under eyes and just the skin around my eyes have felt dry and in need of something and this has worked really well, its not heavy in the slightest and very quickly i dont even know ive put anything on, things just feel more comfortable!

try and be better about lip balm but i have to be honest that i dont remember to put it on an awful lot even though i need it! But in the winter etc not using it can mean i get sore lips and i dont want that! so i try to remember to put some on, and ive been reaching for O’keeffes lip repair in cooling £4.25 lately. I bought this around my birthday but ive been picking it up lately more than i did back then really, i like the cooling feeling and its just a really good stick lip balm that lasts a long time on the lips!

So there you have it! the skincare ive been reaching for or swapping in now that the weather is getting colder. Do you switch things around in the winter? let me know!

Superdrug haul, because I needed stuff…honest.

Hey there! so the other day i finally gave in and ordered from superdrug, i was in really bad need of new razor blades, so i finally placed an order and then of course other things fall in my basket! though i was pretty good this time for me to be fair, though then on friday boots do one of those spend £60 get £10 worth of boots points things and i wish i had waited! oh well!

Talking of razors, i did buy my favourite gillette venus spa breeze women’s 4 razor blade refills £11.55 (i got them as 2 for £20). These are hand down my favourite razors, has the built in shaving gel stops my legs from getting extremely dry and itchy!

Continuing with the boring, i also got the dove invisible dry stick anti-perspirant deodorant £3.55, i had for a while now itchy, dry underarms that also had a red rash to them. After asking on a facebook group a lot of people said that mitchum deodorant the one i had used for years had done that to them as well. I had thought about going with a natural deodorant but they are so pricey! so instead i thought i would just try something very simple and see how i go with that.

I ran out of my obsession solid brush shampoo and it was out of stock on the superdrug website so i thought i would try this B. makeup brush shampoo £5.99. I liked the idea of a liquid shampoo this time, ive only used it once so far and i will have a review on it but im not blown away yet!

If you have seen any of my hauls before you would know that i love the garnier ultimate blends hair masks, i picked up the argan one this time however its not currently on the website (guessing it sold out) though i honestly suggest any of the ultimate blends hair masks they all work really well!

Alright, makeup time! so of course i was having a look at the makeup and i noticed that a lot of MUA products were a 20% off so of course i had a look to see if there was anything i wanted!

I picked another 2 of there highlighters, MUA highlighters were all the rage years ago and theres good reason why, i already have a few of them and i picked up 2 more, MUA shimmer highlight powder in twinkling violet and silver wonder £3.00. i can not wait to use these, i used the silver wonder one the day im writing this and i wasnt disappointed, ive wanted a silver highlighter for ages but they never seem to come across like they do in the packaging but this one packs a punch!

On a bit of cheek theme, i picked up there Blushed matte blush powder in rose tea £2.50. Its a muted subtle pink, very up my ally! The final cheek product i bought from MUA was the pixel perfect multi blush in pink blossom £3.00, its very pretty in the pan but i tried it on my cheeks today and apart from the tiniest hint of shimmer it really didnt show up sadly!

Finally, i picked up something ive had my eye on for a while and its the MUA luxe velvet colour enchance lacquer £3.00. Its basically a white liquid lipstick for lightening and highlighting, im really glad to finally have this as honestly have black and white in pretty much every makeup product is a really handy thing to have!

So there you have my superdrug haul! not quite as bank balancing draining as i can be sometimes, but trust me when i say thats not a bad thing! have you picked anything up lately?

Superdrug Halloween Haul.

Hey there! so first up, yes my picture is a bit different, i really want to up my photo game so i hope you enjoy! Anyway ive just finished 2 weeks were i told myself i couldnt buy anything i didnt need, and i did exactly that (well, ok almost). Anyway, that ended this tuesday and well….by 2am tuesday morning i had placed this order!

i knew that as soon as i could i would be getting some bits from the revolution halloween range, i tend to buy everything from the halloween range every year. I choose not to do that this year, the lipsticks while they looked pretty i had all the colours from revolution already, i already have there past 2 SFX palettes that i barely use and the lighter palette i just know i wont touch, so i was good! The only thing i want that i didnt pick up because it was out of stock was the liquid highlighter in blood of my enemies, because unsurprisingly a red highlighter had sold out fast!

I normally buy straight from the revolution website, but i needed nail polish remover and superdrug had a offer on revolution halloween makeup so i thought i might as well buy on superdrug! and im glad i did because it arrived very quickly. And of course, i couldnt resist picking up a few bits not from there halloween range i wanted to try.

So quickly get the boring stuff out of the way, i got the Artificial nail polish remover £2.49. I honestly didnt see its might to be for artificial nail removal i just wanted a remover! but actually this could work well because it should be pretty strong.

One of the other boring products i got was the Fruity orange & satsuma shower gel 99p, i tend to always buy an orange shower gel of some sort whenever i order online! this is a lovely one.

Finally for boring, i got the Barry m base coat, top coat and nail hardener 3 in 1 £2.99. I was really in need of a base coat/clear polish, as i wear clear polish all the time regardless, ive had this one before and its a very good one especially at its price point!

Alright, fun things! Revolution added too there skincare, and i knew that i couldnt pass up trying the Revolution skincare intense skin exfoliator 30% AHA + BHA peeling solution £7.99. This solution is an intense exfoliating treatment, i will get back to you on this once ive tried it, im slightly scared but excited!

Unsurprisingly i knew i had to try the Revolution conceal and define foundation F0.5 £9.00, i have tried and quite like the concealer, but what made me wanna try this apart from the fact that its revolution and i adore the brand, is that from the first reviews it looked very high coverage and had a super shade selection. I went for the palest pink toned one i could possibly go for, i think it should be a good match, expect a review coming up!

Revolution launched a new range of pigment pomades very quietly a few weeks ago and there was no way i couldnt try them! im always looking for cream eyeshadows that actually work well, those these pomades can be used for anything, eyes, eyebrows, lips etc you name it. I picked up the Revolution pro pigment pomade in jet black £5.00 because i would be so pleased if this pomade actually stands up to others! i may have finally found a dupe for my colour tattoo.

Onto the halloween goodness! theres no way i was saying no to the Revolution haunted liquid highlighters £5.00. I picked up the ones in lovers wrath and envy, though i hope to be able to find blood of my enemies to complete the set! but they are beautiful, brilliant skull bottles and they have a wonderful pinky/purple or green sheen to them, i need that red one!

Last but not least we have the Revolution beautiful darkness eyeshadow palette £6.00, ill be honest that originally i wasnt sure if i was going to get either of the palettes but im really glad i did. This palette is beautiful! and i really like the lay out of the palette and praise revolution the names are on the palette! review of course incoming.

So there you have it! everything i bought, have you picked up anything from the halloween range? let me know!

Acid Toning – why do it & my favourites.

Hey there! so today i wanted to chat to you about acid toning, why it can be a very good step in your skincare routine & my personal favourite acid toners!

Before i begin however i will just state that i am no expert, i am not trained and this is just what i know from my own research and trail and error! if your ever concerned, you should of course always ask a professional.

It is also very important to know that if you acid tone you must wear an spf during the day! you should be wearing one regardless, but with acid toning its even more important.

If you havent really heard much about acid toning before you have likely read the word “acid” and been a bit freaked out! when acid toning first became a more mainstream thing everyone had the same kind of reaction, myself included until you learn a bit more about it.

So acid toning is using a toner or pre-soaked pad that contains a gentle AHA or BHA acid in the normal toner stage, and what this does is it gets to work on the skin eating away at dead skin without using very harsh scrubs etc. It also kills off bacteria extremely well so its very good for spots, and helps to fade scars over time as well.

Theres 3 main acids you will find, glycolic, lactic and salicylic acid. glycolic and lactic are AHAs, and salicylic is a BHA, whats the difference? well according to the paulas choice website here AHAs work on the skins surface and are water soluble were as BHAs work down into the pores as well and are oil soluble.

Generally, salicylic acid is seen as the one to go to if you have a lot of issues with spots, blackheads etc as it really helps with that. Lactic acid is rather gentle and not irritating and best for those with sensitive skin, glycolic acid is the one most people know about and the one i use the most, it is the staple of acid toning!

So, when do you use these? well you can use them morning or night, or even morning and night! but personally i mostly use at night and only use in the morning if i feel like i need the boost. This is the first step on your skin after cleansing, and then after this you follow with a skin hydrating mist to start the hydration process.

So, shall we get into my favourites!

These are the 3 i currently use, though i will also list in a second some honourable mentions! i will say, all the ones i use are glycolic based, that is just what i go for personally and is the most commonly found.

So first up is the Lacura daily cleansing pads £4.95 for 2 packs of 60 pads, i could only find the double packs online but as you can see for the price its very affordable! they are a very obvious dupe of the nip + fab pads (mentioned below) and honestly i cant tell too much of a difference between the two! these contain glycolic acid mainly, and also some fruit acids though they are way farther down the list. The way i use pads like this is i buff over my skin with one side then i flip it and go again, i also will buff and spend longer on spots and areas of concern, these are my go to acid toner id say.

Next is actually the only liquid acid toner ive tried, the Freedom Glycolic radiance toner £6.00, now this one is meant to be a dupe for the pixi glow tonic, i havent tried the glow tonic but i like this one! ive had a few bottles of it now on and off and its a really good budget toner if you would rather soak your own cotton pads, again it is glycolic based, the only thing that puts me off using this sometimes is that it can leave the skin feeling a little sticky, i spray straight after so it doesnt matter too much but its just something to be aware of!

Lastly we have the Superdrug Naturally Radiant glycolic acid daily cleansing pads £5.99, now these are basically the same as the lacura or the nip + fab, they are glycolic based with fruit acids much farther down the list pre-soaked pads.  Theres not much i can say about these that i didnt say about the lacura ones! these are pretty much the same in almost every way.

So those are the 3 i am currently using, the first one i used and still often my go to are of course the nip + fab glycolic fix exfoliating facial pads £13.59. They are slightly up there in price but almost always on sale somewhere! they also now have an “extreme” version (they are not too much stronger dont panic) a sensitive version and a salicylic acid version as well so theres something for everyone there!

Of course there is the famous pixi glow tonic £18.00, it is again up there in price, but if you dont know were to start and can afford a little bit more you are not going to go wrong with this at all!

Mainly when it comes to acid toning, i would say have a look around and go for what you think suits you, try some things out and have fun! i honestly love acid toning its something i brought into my skincare years ago and im very glad i did.

Natures Alchemist Balancing clay Face Mask.

Hey There! So a few weeks ago i posted a superdrug & boots order that i made to pick up some pampering products for my birthday. One of the products i got is this the Natures Alchemist balancing clay face mask £6.99, now honestly i bought it thinking it would be that kind of pore cleaning clay mask but it isnt really like that. Its more something made to balance and calm stressed calm, so honestly its still up my ally! but what was even more interesting once i had it in my hands is that its a 2 in 1! you can also use it as a cleanser, colour me curious! its also vegan, gluten free and contains no parabens which is all of course becoming more and more important.

So on the back it says that if you want to use it as a cleanser you use a small amount on damp skin massaging until theres a lather and then splash off…shudder, Can we all start praying to the alter of caroline hirons please and stop it with the “lather” and the “splash off”.

first off, this doesnt lather and i mean it, i have tried to lather it and it just doesnt and secondly good luck splashing this off, your gonna be splashing for a while!. If you can get past the out dated directions on the back this is actually a really nice clay cleanser, which im really happy about because ive wanted a clay cleanser for a while.

How i use it, is i use around a 5p sized amount and massage onto either dry skin or skin that ive just cleansed with a oil or balm (so using this as a second cleanse) and once ive massaged this onto my skin for a bit i then use a damp flannel to remove. It really does live up to the stressed skin claims because its very calming, it feels cool on the skin and cleanses without upsetting which as been very nice lately for my hormonal stressed anxiety ridden face.

So, how does it do as a mask? well wait for it, we have outdated directions to make caroline hirons shudder again first “spread on a thick layer, leave for 5 minutes then remove with damp cotton wool”, damp cotton wool?? are you mad?? of course, i removed it with a flannel.

Honestly, and this is rather funny considering what its marketed as and what i bought it has but i prefer it as a cleanser than a mask. It didnt do anything bad as a mask, but it just felt like i left my cleanser on for a while before i removed it, now it is very cooling so if my skin was throwing all the toys out of the pram and having a right old tantrum i think it would be really good to calm my skin down but i dont think it did too much for me right now.

I honestly think that if they rebranded this as a clay cleanser it would do rather well, and if they started telling us to remove it with a flannel and stopping claiming that it will lather.

So did i get the pore cleansing mask i wanted? no, but i did get a clay cleanser and im happy with that!

The Pre-birthday Pamper Haul.

Hey! so, if you read my post on wednesday you would of seen that my birthday is coming up on the 14th. Now, im not the biggest fan of my birthday these days at all but im trying to make the most of it this year, be grateful of what you have right?

Anyway, because of this i already knew id be spending most of the day with my friends playing the new world of warcraft expansion, i had planned to spend some time in the morning with my family but thats changed when my mum has had to take an appointment that morning due to finding out that she has cataracts. So after having a think i thought you know what? why dont i have a really good pamper on my birthday morning? So this of course meant that i just had too buy some new goodies to do this with…obviously.

originally i had thought about ordering from amazon because i hadnt really bought pamper stuff from them before and thought it would be cool but i quickly found the hidden p&p thing they do! so instead i made 2 orders, one from boots and one from superdrug because they had different offers on and i couldnt get soap & glory from superdrug!

FYI i will ask you forgive the pictures, these were taken before 12pm (shocker i know) and because of this you got the sun high in the sky and my shadow getting in the way!

So, from boots the first thing i new i would pick up was the soap & glory sugar crush body scrub £8.00, now i really love a good scrub, i am the queen of exfoliation i love it, i bought a new pair of exfoliating gloves on the tesco order and then i had to pick a body scrub. I knew i wanted this one but i kept holding off because its more than i would normally spend on a body product, but honestly? why not! its my birthday, this is my favourite one ive used, the grains are sugar & macadamia grains but the best bit is that its not in oil so you dont get that annoying layer on your skin and its not made with salt so it doesnt sting my very sensitive legs! and it smells amazing.

I love a good hair mask, and the garnier ultimate blends range of face masks are a personal favourite, ive tried a few of them now and im slowly making my way through the range! i went for the ultimate blends maple & caster oil hair mask treatment £4.99 this time, it sounded good to me basically! and i know how good caster oil is at helping with hair growth and im always for that.

I then got 2 nail bits, to be honest i doubt i will actually “do” my nails on my birthday but i saw this as an excuse to get some proper nail oil that isnt from the pound shop and finally get something ive wanted for a while!
So nail oil wise i went for the barry m cuticle oil £3.99, not heard much about it or tried it yet so lets see! The other item is the sally hansen instant cuticle remover £6.95, now i have wanted to try this product for so long its not even funny! Ive seen anna (the anna edit on youtube) mention it a lot, and a few other people too but i always felt i couldnt justify it. turns out i just need to feel sorry for myself!

Right lets move onto superdrug! i didnt mean to buy 4 products from each place but i did!

Anyway first up i picked up a new mask to try, now ive had a few masks come my way over the past week or so (dont worry ill be showing you soon!) but i still of course picked this one up. Again, big face mask fan! So i picked up natures alchemist balancing clay face mask £6.99, honestly i thought this was more of a classic clay or mud mask than it actually is, but thats alright! i have been in the market for a quick mask to use for a while too.

Next up, i love a good detox shampoo to help clean any dye or product build up from my hair and scalp so i went for the toni & guy cleanse advanced detox shampoo £6.49, im pretty sure i used this before years ago and really liked it so im looking forward to using it again!

Ok so hands up, the next item isnt really just for “pampering” ive just developed a little hydrating facial mist problem ok? I spotted the natures alchemist hydrating facial mist £5.99 and had to give it a go, specially as it was on offer, and yes im fully expecting to be someone with 5 different facial sprays in the fridge next summer.

Still with me? good! now last but not least we have the o’keeffe’s lip repair cooling £4.25, now i wanted to get a new lip balm, and when i spotted this one was on offer i thought why not! i bought the o’keeffe’s working hands hand cream for my mum and it seems really good at helping her really dry caretaker hands, and i bought the foot cream that is also working pretty well on my feet from hell so why not! ive worn it a few times now and the cooling effect is nice, but i cant say much more than that yet!

alright, there you have it! well done if you made it this far, do you have pamper sessions on your birthday? let me know!

B.hydrated Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz.

Hey! so in my superdrug haul the other week i picked up the B. Hydrated Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz £7.99, i have wanted a hydrating facial spritz for a while now and i seemed to pick the right moment because with our current heatwave they are amazing!

So, if you dont know what hyaluronic acid is in simple terms it can hold up to a thousand times its weight in water. It is something we have naturally in our skin, however of course its production does slow down and its always good to top up what we naturally make!

So first off, personally for me if you want a spritz to use throughout the day this isnt for you, but as someone who is oily /combo skinned i dont tend to need hydration during the day. However i have fallen completely in love with using this morning and night! in the “morning” (because lets face it, its rare i shower before 12) i use it on clean skin and then i put my serum on top straight away, and it really adds an extra layer of hydration. At night i use it after my acid toner of choice and then i again put my serum on top straight away and it just feels so nice to lock that in.

With the weather being like it has been, i really havent wanted much on my skin some days or nights! on the really horribly hot days (32c+) i havent been doing much at all, sticking to just spraying this and then putting on a gel based moisturiser and its really worked!

the only downside honestly is the size, ive gone through this pretty fast (ive got like a quarter left) and ive only had it for a few weeks, but its pretty cheap and superdrug always has sales so its not too bad to replace!

all in all ive really liked my first go at true hydrating facial spritzs and im looking forward to trying more!

My Nighttime Self-care Routine.

Hey! So, for the past week or so ive gotten into having a bit of a self-care routine every night at the minute. I started having issues with going to sleep, as someone who after many sleep issues in my teen years was able to sleep with no issue. But now, i have been getting anxious about the idea of going too sleep, as someone who responds well to the pampering side of self care and i also needed to start taking better care of more than just my face! i brought in a routine that has really been helping.

So generally i am a massive night owl, and myself and friends will generally stop playing video games and go to bed between 1-3am. So, at this point i turn off my pc move my water bottle & phone near my bed and then i get my room sorted, i draw my blinds and tidy up my bed if i dumped stuff on it! I then will get a youtube video going  on my phone, currently its generally a video from thrift thick  (please check her out i adore her!) then i get all the products i need out and put them onto the corner of my dressing table that i use as a night stand, before i get changed & go off to cleanse my face brush my teeth etc.

So i always double cleanse, ive always been a massive fan of doing this and i start with generally the super facialist vitamin C+ skin renew cleansing oil £10.99 this is hands down my favourite cleansing oil, ive used it for years and will continue to do so! it cleanses without stripping, it isnt super oily or heavy and it smells like oranges! for my second cleanse, i go with either the botanics all bright gentle cleansing cream £5.49 witch is very gentle and good for when my skin is dryer or the B. creamy foam cleanser £6.99 during the summer and when my skin is oiler. Both staples in my bathroom cupboard!

Once im back in my room i turn off my light and do everything else just by the light of my phone, i do this purely because i dont wanna have to get back up and turn my light off again! continuing with skincare, i use an acid toner, at the minute ive been enjoying the Freedom makeup london pro studio radiance tonic £ 6.00, this is really good, pretty gentle but still helps to remove dead skin cells using good old acid! (nice acid!), after this ive really gotten into using a hydrating facial spritz, my choice being the B. hydrated hyaluronic acid spritz £7.99, i am going through this so fast! i think this was hands down what kept my skin from being dry during the heat wave when i didnt want anything on my face!

Then i use a serum, ive really been enjoying the superdrug vitamin c invigorating skin booster £4.99 at the moment, of course i love the smell! but it also adds an extra layer of hydration and softness that i love. Finally for my face, i use a night cream and i wrote a whole review about these garnier natural 3 in 1 soothing rose botanical balm £12.99 witch you can read here, but the short version is hydrating, calming and lovely!

With all that on my face, i turn my attention to the rest of my body! now i have never liked putting body cream on, i hate the feeling so that doesnt happen. But i have been finally paying my feet some attention, i have very difficult problematic feet (this, is an understatement) we are talking cracks so deep they bleed bad, and having to be bandaged up earlier this year! my foot cream of choice right now is the scholl hard skin softening cream £5.99. i have to be honest however i dont know if its as heavy duty as my feet need! so if you have a suggestion please let me know!

now, i lay down and watch the youtube video for a bit, as it gets closer to the end i pop on a lip balm. ive really been liking the REN vita mineral lip balm £10.50 lately, i think this was a freebie in a box at some point? but however i got it, i really like how smooth it feels on the lips and its very hydrating, its still on in the morning! the very last thing i do beauty product wise is pop on some hand cream, ive been going for this NAOBAY orange juice hand cream £11.50 currently, another box item! because its on the lighter side so good for the summer, but its still very hydrating and plus side it smells amazing (can you tell i like orange smelling things?).

and with that, i close my phone and go to sleep and generally this little routine as really been helping me unwind and not be quite so anxious at night!

do you have a night time routine? any foot cream suggestions for me? let me know!
