* Beyou soothing natural period pain patches.

Hey there! So a few weeks ago i was very kindly sent the *Beyou soothing natural period patch patches £5.99 to test out, these patches are meant to soothe and help the pain of periods naturally using menthol and eucalyptus. Now i am a sufferer of PCOS, so ive had very painful periods for years, along with cycles that can easily be 40+ days etc. I was interested to see if these would help ease the pain at all.

As you can see, the patches themselves look a bit like a big plaster, now i knew that as a plus sized women there was no way these pads would be big enough for me but having showed them to an average sized friend of mine there not really big enough full stop! they are also that classic plaster colour, so if you wanted too wear them but knew they might end up on show you couldn’t be super pale (like me) or darker either.

i popped one on (they come in a pack of 5) when i was getting some pain, the first thing i noticed was a strong smell of menthol and eucalyptus. They do lay pretty much completely flat against the skin but even so if you were wearing something completely skin tight they would show through, i knew they were there but they weren’t bulky or annoying at all. They slowly become cooling on the skin, and i can get why that is meant to be soothing but for me i found it distracting and annoying, i didn’t like how it felt and though its meant to calm your muscles i wanted to tense my muscles more! i took them off after a while finding them too distracting, they did come off very easily but i dont have much hair on my stomach at all, i would watch it if you do.

I can understand how they are meant to soothe, because obviously the reason we get pain is because our muscles are contracting and tensing up and this is meant to soothe them and ease the pain that comes from that. And we do this with sore tense muscles all over the body so it does make a lot of sense, but sadly it just doesn’t seem to work for me! My body can be rather picky and it was with this, its a shame as a natural way to ease pain is always a plus in my book.

i still would say give this a go if you think it will work for you, because peoples bodies and there pain is so unique and you know what works best for you!

Pink parcel october 2018.

Hey there! Today i have Octobers pink parcel to show you, if you dont know what pink parcel is it is a monthly subscription service based on your period. With every box that you can tailor to arrive based on your cycle, you get three lots of either pads or tampons depending on what you personally choose, one for later, one for now and for night. You also get a little box of treats too!

Ive gotten pink parcel for well over a year now and its very good, i no longer worry about running out of pads or not having enough and the little box of goodies is a really nice treat to know is coming. The only thing that continues to bug me about pink parcel is that throughout the month there adverts will show one or two products from that month, so staying completely unspoiled isnt easy!

Anyway shall we have a look in this months box? this months theme is barefaced beauty, i will say theres no full sized products this month apart from the brush egg which is disappointing, specially considering it was late this month too, however they did message and say it would be, they owned up to it so im glad about that!

First off lets get the tea/coffee out of the way, this months tea is the Immunitea orange and blueberry £3.69 (for 15 bags, we get one). As ive said before, not a hot drinks person so this will go to someone else!

You always get a sweet/chocolate in the box, this month we got 2 squares of chocolate, one salted caramel one orange, ive oppsed and have no idea what the brand is! but to be honest, it wasnt the best so its not a massive lose.

First product are bandzee £6.95, hair ties that are meant to be much kinder and softer to your hair. These are very often included in pink parcels and im honestly just not a fan, they dont hold up your hair very well and stretch very quickly. This months are in a “fawn” print and are very not me!

Next up is the organic pharmacy rose facial cleansing gel £49.00 (for 100ml, we get 20ml) now organic pharmacy is known to be very pricey! but boy £50 for a face wash basically? i havent tried this yet, it has aloe vera, rosehip, rose and bilberry, im a big fan of rosehip so we shall see! i think organic pharmacy have appeared before in the form of a lip balm, a while ago!

Next sample is from a brand we have seen before in pink parcel as well, mudmasky, i said it last time and i will say it again that good grief they cost the earth! this time we have a sample of the mudmasky morning boost mask £60.00 (60ml, we get 20ml) at least we got a better sized sample this time! this mask is meant to be a very quick morning boost, only something to be left on for a minute, its meant to be energising, lifting, feeding, hydrating and smoothing! it has coffee in it, meaning to be like a cup of coffee for your skin basically! im excited to try this to be honest, we are seeing these 1 minute morning masks appear more and more lately.

A brand ive never seen before next called whats in it for me..?, and we got there body cleanser £6.00 (250ml, we got 50ml), it says “aloe vera, witch hazel and grapefruit extract to cleanse, along with peppermint and rosemary oil to invigorate the skin and body”. I am getting slight anatomicals vibes from this brand, with there tag line being “totally selfish, indulgent in love with yourself products”, im curious to see more of there stuff to be honest as im curious!

The last thing we got was the Kawaii enterprise kawaii brush egg £6.99, you could get lilac, blue or pink and i got lilac. This is techinally the only full sized product we got, but its a brush egg! i wont be using mine because i already have one and i honestly dont like them, if im gonna use something like this im going to use a mat because its easier.

I have to be honest that im disappointed with this months box, not only was i already a bit spoiled about the contents, it was late, theres a number of brands we have seen before or many times, and everything minus the egg brush is a sample. Im looking forward to trying out the mask, but thats all really.

Its a shame! and i hope November is better.

Pink Parcel August 2018.

Hey! So this months pink parcel arrived a few days ago, and normally my aim is to get my pink parcel posts up as soon as i possibly can but i had to wait for an email from them first. I got a bit annoyed with this months, because a lot of the contents of the box was plastered all over my facebook in the adverts since the beginning of the month, ruining the surprise! according to pink parcel only the hero products in the box should of been shown, i still personally feel there shouldnt be anything from that months on social media but what can you do.

For those that didnt see my first post on pink parcel, pink parcel is a monthly subscription service for people who have periods! you can tailor it to be sent at any time in the month, and it contains pads or tampons of your choice, as well as a small box of goodies for you as well. Its very good value and one of the biggest things it helps with for me is that i dont run out anymore! has someone that cant leave the house much, it helps a lot.

Anyway, the theme for this month is holiday essentials, and its also worth over £50 which is pretty impressive! you may notice that the normal for now bag isnt there, i did ask about that in the email too and they had just ran out so we have two for night time this month, thats fine, happens!

So, whats inside?

So, in every pink parcel you always get a tea bag and some sort of sweet treat.

So for the tea bag this time we actually got a coffee bag? alright! anyway its lyons No3 coffee in a bag £2.60 for 125g (we get a bag). i am not a tea or coffee drinker so this will go to the coffee addict that is my dad, however i do admittedly find this a bit odd considering caffeine is meant to make cramps that much worse.

The sweet treat for this month is the Candy kittens eton mess gourmet sweets £1 for a treat bag (we got a treat bag). I have heard so much about these! of course the fact that they are cat shaped sells me quite a bit, and seeing has ive been vegetarian for 13 years i havent really been able to have sweets like these but these are vegetarian, woo!

The first item we got is a spacemasks eye masks £15 for 5 (we got one), now ive seen these doing the rounds lately and they look rather interesting! basically they are one use eye masks that heat up when you take them out of there little packets because of the iron inside them hitting oxygen. I like this idea, and galaxy things is always a hit in my book! im having a lot of sleep related problems right now, so i am going to have a rest with this one day, and likely nod off!

Next up, is oryza dewy glow balm £11.95, so i gotta be honest, i was interested when i first saw this “ooh glow balm!” but im actually disappointed to be honest. It is just a vasline like balm, its full of “good” oils according to the label, but honestly it just seems to be one of those balms.

Next up we have the laritzy dew pot in glory £20.00, this is a multi-purpose cream highlighter. now sadly you could get 6 shades in this and of course i get the gold one! so i wont using this, it looks creamy however!

Next up is the English laundry no7 for her purse spray £16.00, we have had little spray perfumes before but i havent been keen. however i really like this one! the description says there are notes of sparkling pear, jasmine, melon and apricot, i dont really know if i smell any of them or not (im good at this) but i do think it smells really fresh and clean, im very picky with perfumes but i like this one!

Sebamed clear face mattifying cream £5.69 is our last product, we got a sample size of this moisturiser. I havent used this yet, its a oily controlling moisturiser that helps reduce blackheads and spots, ive tried it on my hand and it does feel very light.

So all in all i do like this box! im sad a few of the products were spoiled for me, but i like the perfume, the eye mask, the sweets! the highlighter just isnt the right colour for me, a balm is a balm and the moisturiser is meh but i am so keen on the perfume it weighs it evenly!

Do you get pink parcel? what did you think?

July 2018 Pink Parcel.

Hey! So im rather excited to bring you the first of many monthly posts on pink parcel! Pink parcel is the only monthly box i have ever stuck with, and have gotten for over a year now.

Pink Parcel is a monthly subscription service, for those that get periods!

In every box you get a fair amount of the period product of your choice, so in my case thats pads. you get a box full marked for later, a bag full for now, a box of night pads for later and then you get a box that is marked for you.

Now, the box marked for you is where all the fun things are! Inside the box marked for you there is always a tea bag, a sweet treat of some kind, one or two full sized beauty products and a few samples.

Pink parcel is £10.50 a month, you can choose a date it will arrive to suit your cycle & they also have a pink parcel store were you can buy a lot of the products they feature in the box! as you may be able to tell, i really adore pink parcel, ive been getting it for a year now and no more do i have those panicked moments of running out of pads, and plus i get chocolate and beauty products! win win.

Alright, shall i actually show you whats in Julys box now? This months theme is glowing skin, so lets see what that means!

first off, the sweet treat! these can be hit and miss, though there has been some really nice chocolate in here, this months is Joe & Sephs Popcorn with caramel & Belgian chocolate is £4 for 80g (you get 18g in the box). I havent tried it yet, im honestly not the biggest fan of popcorn! so i might give this to my mum, as she likes popcorn much more than i do.

The tea bag this month is the We are tea super berry infusion tea £2.99 for 75g (we got a bag), i have to be honest that i generally collect these tea bags for anyone else that wants them as i dont like tea!

next up we have the sample size products, so we have the balanceme flash cleanse micellar water  £16.00 for 180ml (we get 30ml). I love balance me products, i havent tried this micellar water just yet, i do like a good micellar water mainly for removing makeup swatches, makeup fall out clean & mistakes etc.

The two other samples we have are the Mudmasky sleep repair renewal nourishing mask  and the Mudmasky facial detox purifying detox mask £60.00 for 60ml (we get 15ml). Oh boy are these pricey! ive tried the sleep mask once, it doesnt feel heavy or anything and it sinks in, makes your skin feel soft but havent noticed anything other than that yet!

Alright onto the full size products! first up is the magn!tone wipe out the amazing microfibre cleansing cloth £14.99 for 2 (we got one). ohh i was so excited to see this in here! ive wanted to try one of these for ages, ive messed around with it a bit so far and im impressed!

and lastly there is the jelly pong pong cosmetics stardrops light-activated glow drops $34 (cant find a uk stocklist!). these are the popular highlighter drop things right now, these are in the colour supernova a bright gold, but sadly really not my colour so i havent opened them so i can give them away at some point!

so there you have it! i wasnt blown over by this months if im honest, but thats likely down too the drops not being my thing. Even so i am looking forward to seeing what i get next month.
